Year 10 Study Notes

You will study two units in Year 10:-

P1a Energy and Electricity

P1b Waves and Radiation

You will also study How Science Works. The physics sheets relating to this are on the physics HSW page.

Set 1a will do the exam for Unit 2 in January of Year 11; other sets will do this exam in June (Set 1a will then be doing the exam for Unit 3).

To be ready for the January exam, Set 1a will cover some parts of P2 while studying the same topics in P1a/b using their extra hour per fortnight. The syllabus references are:- P1b + 12.9, 12.10 (radiation); and P1a + 12.7, 12.8 (mains electricity).
